A MAN who snatched handbags from two elderly women in separate incidents, knocking them both to the ground, has been jailed for five years.
A judge told Paul McLoughlin they had been despicable offences of which he was rightly thoroughly ashamed.
Fake Prada HandbagsLiverpool crown court heard McLoughlin first struck on the morning of April 20 as an 81-year-old woman was walking across a park in Eccleston, St Helens.
McLoughlin, 24, pulled the handle of her handbag, dragging her to the ground.

embroidered patches Wargrave Road, Newton-le-Willows. He grabbed her handbag and punched her in the ribs.
McLoughlin, of Meadow Close, St Helens, was arrested the next day. He pleaded guilty to the two robberies.
