I would have found the situation unacceptable for so many reasons, but on this occasion I found it too painful to think about.
It was the anniversary of my neighbour's husband's death and, as they had loved to visit Southerndown together, Paper Bag Printing Mrs Archard, our Neighbourhood Watch organiser, took her to the same spot they had loved so much. Two men appeared, tried to steal the car keys and their handbags. When the women tried to prevent them they were attacked.
I would like to pay tribute to these two very
embroidered patches nice people who did not deserve to be treated so cruelly.
